Final Information from our Transition Leader

Dear Parent/carer,

Firstly can I say what a wonderful day our recent Transition day was. It is always a pleasure to see so many happy smiling faces as the students take their first steps on the next part of their educational journey with us. As we are all preparing to break up for the summer holidays I wanted to write to you for a last time and share with you some final information before September.

Ties

These were given out on the recent Transition Day and parent/carers can pay for these via the parent pay facility in September. If you have not received your son/daughter's tie they will be distributed on their first day in September. Parents DO NOT need to purchase these before then.

Parent Pay

Parent Pay is the system which you must use to pay for all purchases made through the Academy. This includes lunches, ties, future trips, visits and any equipment on sale. You will receive your login details on your son/daughter's first day. You do not need to purchase anything or use this system until you receive these details. Your son/daughter will be provided with lunch on their first day, until the system is live.

Start of the new term - Tuesday 3rd September

Your son/daughter will begin their first full day at the Academy on Tuesday 3rd September. The day will begin at 9.00am and students should make their way to the main school hall to join their coaching group for a morning assembly.

The academy will be open for Year 7, 11 and 13 students only on Tuesday 3rd September.

Arbor

The Academy uses a cloud based system called Arbor which helps us to record and store your child's information. It also allows us to communicate with you through the Arbor Parent Portal and Arbor App.

We have attached instructions (which I have shared previously with you) explaining  how you can access this App on your phone. If you have not already done so we would encourage you to do this before your son/ daughter begins in September so that vital information is not missed.

Once you have accessed the App you will require login details which are specific to your child. We will be sending an email with your log on details; please be advised that Arbor communicates by email. Your log on details will come from Arbor by email within the next 3 days, so please make sure you check your junk email folders. If you do not receive an email, please contact school on  prie-year6transitions@coopacademies.co.uk with the correct email address, so we can update your details.

Admissions form

Some time ago I sent out the following link.https://forms.gle/sZMhV9wNADhCA2Nd9

This is the Academy admissions form. Many thanks if you have already completed this. If you have not then please could I ask that you do so before September.

Contact over summer

Finally if you do need to contact the Academy over the summer please be aware that you will need to use the prie-info@coopacademies.co.uk email address as all other email accounts may not be checked regularly. However lots of the information you may need can be found on our website https://priesthorpe.coopacademies.co.uk/transition/

Many thanks for your cooperation and support through the summer transition period, and I look forward to speaking to you in the future.
