Our pupils wear our uniform proudly as a sign of belonging to Co-op Academy Priesthorpe.
We expect all of our pupils to proudly wear our uniform when attending the academy, or when participating in any academy-organised event outside of normal school hours.
Our Principles
Our uniform policy follows the principles that:
- promotes a sense of pride in the academy;
- promotes a sense of community and belonging to the academy;
- is fair and equal, reducing peer pressure around dressing in labels and fashions;
- is suitable clothing for school and good value for money;
- is smart and practical.
All pupils are required to wear:
- Black V neck jumper with our academy logo (required)
- School tie with your house colour stripe (required)
- White shirt or blouse (required)
- Black full length tailored trousers. (required)
- Plain black footwear (required)
For PE lessons, all pupils are required to wear:
- Black polo shirt with our academy logo (required)
- Black shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms (required)
- Black hooded sweatshirt with our academy logo (required)
- Trainers (required)
- Football Boots (when required)
Suitable Shoe Guidance
This will apply from September 2026:
Our guidance for school shoes is: plain black with NO additional colours (suitable black, low-heeled shoe, no trainers, boots or leisure shoes, no logos).
✅ Acceptable - Plain black leather or leather-look, flat or low-heeled school shoes.
❌ Unacceptable – No trainer-style shoes, boots, high heels, canvas or logos, including Converse and Vans.
*Please note that leather-style trainers are not allowed and students will be asked to replace them.*

Where can I buy the uniform?
Most of our uniform items can be bought at shops of your choice. Specialist items with our logo on, such as our academy jumpers, are available from:
We encourage students to donate any good condition, second-hand uniform once they leave us in Year 11 or grow out of theirs. Please get in touch with us if you need support with your child’s uniform.
We also work in partnership with Pudsey Community Project who run a well stocked uniform exchange. Please follow the link for further details including their opening times.
Year 7 September 2026 Cohort Free Branded Item Entitlement
Our Year 7 cohort will be entitled to 4 academy-branded items free of charge in September 2026. These are as follows:
- Academy Jumper
- Academy Tie
- Academy PE t-shirt
- Academy PE hooded top
