Dear parents and carers,

I wanted to make you aware of some upcoming changes to our ways of working around the site, which are to make sure our school remains a safe, welcoming and well-managed place for students and staff.

What you can expect to see

• We are planning to make repairs and improvements to our fences this term

• A member of staff will be based at the end of the drive at the start and end of each day to manage traffic, those with passes will still be able to access the car park. 

• The Rockwoods gate will have new opening times. 

On a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning it will be open for 30 minutes between 8.00am and 8.30am.

On a Tuesday and Thursday morning it will be open for 30 minutes between 8.30am and 9.00am.

Students arriving at school outside of these times will need to use the front entrance.

At the end of the day it will be open for 20 minutes between 3.20pm and 3.40pm. Students leaving later, after intervention, clubs or detention and who wish to leave by the Rockwood gate will be escorted by a member of staff to the gate. 

A member of staff will be present whenever the gate is open. 

These arrangements are about future proofing our site and ensuring it is well maintained and safe for all students.
