Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to invite you to the Academy on Thursday, 26th March, for your child’s Year 10 Meet Your Coach and Teacher (MYCAT) day.

What is MYCAT?

At the MYCAT event, you will have the opportunity to meet with your child’s coach and subject teachers to discuss their progress in their GCSE courses, areas for development, and future academic planning. During your appointment times, teaching staff will discuss key aspects of each course and the essential skills your child needs to succeed.

Additional Information Available:

• Year 10 Progress and Support Presentation: This session covers key information about the year ahead and how you can best support your child as they progress through their GCSEs.

• Revision Materials: A Collins representative will be available during the event for you to purchase revision guides and resources.

• Family Support: Information will be available regarding support services offered to families through various community groups.

• Book Stall: As 2026 is the Year of Reading, a bookseller will be hosting a stall at the event.

Schedule for the Day

On Thursday, 26th March, the Academy will finish lessons at 1:00 p.m. for Years 7–10 to allow appointments to be held from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. By offering appointments throughout the afternoon and early evening, we aim to ensure all families can find a time that suits them.

• Student Lunch: Available from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• Family Refreshments: Food will be available for families during the event.

• Presentations: The Year 10 Progress and Support Presentation will be held twice, at 15:45 and 17:30. Please note that teacher appointments will pause during these times to allow everyone to attend.

Booking Your Appointments

You can book appointments with your child’s coach and teachers via the Arbor Parent Portal. If you experience any issues with the booking system, please contact the Academy office for assistance.
