Dear Parents and Carers,

As we continue with the exam season, we are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our Year 11 students have shown so far. To give them the absolute best advantage moving forward, we are running a specially tailored, high-impact Year 11 Masterclass Day this Friday.

Because there are no formal exams scheduled for Friday, we have a unique opportunity to provide intensive, critical revision support without the usual pressure of the exam room.

What is happening on Friday?

We have redesigned our standard timetable for the morning to focus entirely on core subjects (English, maths and science). 

9:00 AM Start: All Year 11 students are required to attend for a prompt 9:00 AM start. (Breakfast available in the canteen for Year 11 pupils from 8:30).

• Periods 1, 2, and 3: Students will be in their core lessons, working directly with their normal class teachers. These sessions will focus on crucial exam techniques, high-scoring content, and final exam preparation.

• From Period 4 (Flexible Afternoon): After Period 3, students have earned some flexibility. They can choose to take an early finish at 12.05pm to continue their independent study at home, or they can choose to stay at school to access targeted option-subject support followed by a double period of PE to unwind and de-stress.

Why is attendance vital?

This day has been carefully structured to give students a competitive edge. Missing these masterclasses means missing out on vital, teacher-led insights that could make all the difference in their upcoming papers.
