End of Year Rewards Trips
Dear Parent/Carer,
End of Year Rewards Trips
It’s nearly that time of year! We are excited to announce our End of Year Rewards Trips. These trips are our way of saying "well done" to students who have worked hard, followed the rules, and shown real improvement over the year. We want as many of our students as possible to come along and celebrate with us.
To make sure you are eligible to go, you need to meet three targets:
-
Attendance: You need to have strong attendance. We will be focusing on attendance from today until the trip so that everyone has the chance to be successful. Every day in school is a chance to learn and succeed. If your attendance is poor, you won’t be able to go on the trip.
-
House Points: You must reach "House Rising Star" status. You do this by earning at least 100 House Points through hard work and being a great member of the school community.
-
Behaviour: You must have zero suspensions between the 20th of April and Monday the 29th of June.
What’s happening for each Year Group?
-
Year 7: A fun day here at school with activities like arts and crafts, eSports tournaments, and sports and games.
-
Year 8: A big trip to London, including a ride on the London Eye and a cruise down the River Thames. The total cost is approximately £60
-
Years 9 and 10: A trip to Flamingo Land. The total cost is approximately £47.
Next Steps and Eligibility If you meet the criteria, we will let you know soon. We will then send a second letter to parents and carers explaining how to pick your activities and how to make payments via ParentPay.
Students who are not eligible for the Rewards Trip will remain in school for a normal working day focused on core subjects. If a student is deemed ineligible, parents will be notified and any payments already made will be reimbursed. However, please note that for eligible students who later choose not to attend, we are unable to offer refunds as coaches and tickets are booked in advance based on initial selections. To facilitate this trip, we request a voluntary contribution via ParentPay. These contributions are essential to ensure the trip can proceed due to the costs of tickets and transport, no student will be excluded based on their ability to pay.
By putting positivity at the heart of our school culture, we hope students see Priesthorpe as a place of opportunity where success is achievable and effort is valued. We hope all students see this day as a goal to work towards.
Keep working hard, keep showing up, and let’s make it a great end to the year!
Yours faithfully,
Liam King
