Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope you are well. I am writing to let you know that students in the OCR Health and Social Care class will be sitting their real GCSE examination on Wednesday 7th January 2026 in the afternoon. Please note that this is an official exam, not a mock so please do not book any holidays for that date.

Students will have the opportunity to resit the exam in May 2026 if they choose to, or if they do not achieve the result they were hoping for.

To support their preparation, students will complete another mock exam during the week beginning 1st December. All students have also been provided with an exam practice book for revision, and there are a wide range of revision resources available on Google Classroom, including podcasts and videos.

Please encourage your child to revise regularly in the lead-up to their assessment. If you or your child have any questions, feel free to email me at samantha.white@coopacademies.co.uk over the Christmas break, and I will respond as soon as possible.
