LPPA Award

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to announce that Co-op Academy Priesthorpe has been awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) for three years.

This is a significant achievement that recognises our commitment to working in genuine partnership with you, our families. The award reflects what we have built together—a school community where parents are valued as true partners in their children's education.

What we have done well

Our verifier identified many strengths that demonstrate why this partnership matters:

Your feedback has been invaluable. Parents tell us they feel welcomed, listened to and genuinely valued. You describe the school as one that "really does work in true partnership with families," and this means everything to us.

Our induction process has set a strong foundation, ensuring families feel informed, supported and confident from the moment you join us. The school app has become an invaluable tool, keeping you connected and engaged every step of the way.

Our coaching model has been transformative. Staff stay with families throughout their child's journey with us, building trust and ensuring communication remains personal and consistent. This continuity matters.

We have worked hard to remove barriers to engagement, introducing book and uniform swaps, the development of Thrive Attendance Hub, our National Databank Hub and access to foodbanks and community resources through our partnership with Pudsey Community Project.

Our celebration of student achievement through presentation evenings, MYCAT days and informative events such as our Year 11 Revision Support session have brought our community together and reinforced our shared sense of purpose.

Most importantly, this partnership is having a real impact. Students feel well supported and proud of their school. Attendance is improving. Engagement is rising. And we are a cohesive community where everyone works together for the benefit of our young people.

Our next targets for parents

As we move forward, we want to continue evolving our partnership with you:

We will further develop the range of workshops available to parents, ensuring they meet your evolving needs. Planned sessions will include secondary mathematics support, online safety, and tailored support for EAL families, giving you practical strategies to support your children's learning at home.

We will strengthen our targeted approaches for our most disadvantaged pupils, ensuring families receive bespoke guidance and early intervention. This will help us remove barriers and promote even greater engagement.

We remain committed to listening, learning and adapting our practice based on your feedback. Partnership is not static, it grows and deepens when we listen to one another.

Thank you

This award belongs to all of us. Thank you for trusting us with your children, for your feedback, your engagement and your partnership. Together, we are making a real difference to the lives of our young people.

We look forward to continuing this journey with you.

Yours in partnership,

Co-op Academy Priesthorpe
