Uniform Expectations

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope you and your families have a restful break when this arrives.

As we look forward to welcoming students back to the Academy on Monday, 5th January, I am writing to remind families of our high expectations regarding uniform. At Co-op Academy Priesthorpe, our uniform makes an important contribution to our Academy ethos and values. It is essential that students arrive "Ready" to learn, which includes being in full school uniform.

To ensure a smooth start to the new term, we ask that you ensure your child adheres strictly to the uniform policy. Specifically, we wish to clarify the expectations for the following items:

Blazer: All students must wear the Co-op Academy Priesthorpe Black Blazer with the Academy logo in white.

Tie: Students must wear the Co-op Academy Priesthorpe Tie, and the tie stripe must be in the student’s House colour.

Footwear: We must emphasise that footwear must be 100% black.

  • There must be no additional colour on the shoe.

  • Shoes with brand logos are only permitted if the logo is also 100% black; white flecks, white logos, or white soles are not permitted.

  • Boots/high-ankle shoes are not allowed unless worn under trousers.

Students are expected to be in full Academy uniform before they enter the school building at the start of the day. Please be aware that consequences are applied for failure to follow the uniform policy, beginning with a warning and escalating to detentions and time in the Room for Improvement for persistent issues.

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring our students take pride in their appearance and are ready to succeed together.

Yours sincerely,

Liam King
