Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to invite you to the Academy on Wednesday 28th January, for your child’s Year 8 Meet Your Coach and Teacher day (MYCAT).

At the MYCAT event you’ll have the opportunity to meet with your child’s coach and subject teachers to discuss their progress and areas for development. These meetings will cover your child’s academic targets and during the coaching conversation you’ll be able to discuss their plans for next year.

What Will Happen on the Day?
On Wednesday 28th January, the Academy will finish lessons at 1:00 p.m. for years 7-10 to allow appointments to be held from 2:00 p.m. until 7 p.m. By offering appointment times during the afternoon and early evening we aim to make sure all families can find a time to suit. Lunch will be available for students from 1:00 pm until 1:30pm.

There will be 2 information talks throughout the event which will go through key information and support available for families and students.

You can book appointments with your child’s teachers and coach via Arbor, using the parental portal, which will open on Friday. If you encounter any issues with the booking system, please contact the office. We encourage you to make your coaching appointment first, so that you get an overview of your child’ s progress.
