Uniform and Shoe Rules for September 2026
Dear Parents and Carers,
With less than three weeks to go before the start of the new school year, we are writing to gently remind everyone about our uniform rules for September 2026.
As shared previously, we are reducing branded items across our academy trust to help keep costs down for families. We appreciate your support in helping us make sure every student arrives on day one wearing the correct uniform.
WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO WEAR
Main Academy Uniform:
-
Jumper: Plain black V-neck jumper with the school logo
-
Shirt & Tie: School tie and traditional white collared shirt
-
Trousers: Plain black tailored trousers (sports or stretch leggings/trousers are not allowed)
-
Shoes: Plain black smart shoes (see details below)
-
Headscarf or Headband: Plain black (if worn)
PE Kit:
-
Top: Black PE polo shirt with the school logo (optional logo hoodie available)
-
Bottoms: Plain black tracksuit bottoms or plain black shorts
-
Footwear: Sports trainers (to be worn for PE lessons only)
IMPORTANT NOTE ON FOOTWEAR: BLACK SMART SHOES ONLY
Please remember that students must wear plain black smart shoes every day.
Sports trainers, pumps, canvas shoes, or shoes with logos/coloured trims are not allowed as part of the daily uniform. Shoes should be formal, traditional black leather or leather-look shoes. For more guidance on appropriate school footwear, please see our website.
MORNING UNIFORM CHECKS AND NEXT STEPS
Staff will be checking uniform every morning before students enter the building. To be fair to everyone and keep standards high, if a student arrives in the wrong uniform or shoes, we will,
-
Borrowing Uniform: Students will be asked to borrow clean spare uniform or shoes provided by the school for the day.
-
Room for Improvement (RFI): If a student refuses to borrow replacement items, they will work in the Room for Improvement (RFI) until the issue can be fixed with your help.
Please double-check footwear and uniform choices before buying new items for September. For further information about our uniform suppliers, including our work with The Pudsey Community Project to recycle and resume uniform please see our website.
Thank you for working with us to help our students start the new term smart, confident, and ready to learn.
Yours sincerely,
Liam King
